Tufu & Anthony Drawn - Seelenquantisierung (Review)

"Seelenquantisierung" is the first album by the collaboration of two young artists Tufu and Anthony Drawn. During First raps, is dedicated to the second playing of the saxophone. Both are still relatively unknown, but they have already brought out a lot. Sun Tufu could with his convincing published last year, debut album has some listeners. As in my (albeit late). A certain expectation is thus quite there.

But with "The symbolism of the pig fattening" has little to do here. Because the focus here is on the sound, which is characterized by jazzy beats and the saxophone. The result is highly original and atmospheric. Everything sounds slightly smoky and after evening sessions, the atmosphere over this very well. The rape of Tufu go into a similar direction as previous to its publication, although some have become abstract. He recalled on his debut album yet sometimes a bit on the retro God, this comparison is now untenable. Thematically, it moves back to the terrain of the (old school) Battle rape and takes care of Whack MCs, intersects with topics like commercial and social criticism. This is particularly evident in "Schandmaul" in which he takes the listener to the "final, all destroyed requested Whackness fight" and then him into "a success steered not by ego," is pressing. For me, definitely also the most powerful verse on the album.

Overall, the album sounds very independent, for of such Jazzrap like him to present the two is very rare in Germany found.
