Pittsburgh Penguins And Necktie

Prinz Pi - Rebel without cause (Review)

Even before we heard the album at all, is a somewhat: Prinz Pi has changed, externally with long hair, beard and new sunglasses he presents himself on the cover. It is not only visually, there are changes, even from a musical and lyrical vision he has moved on and dealt with now increasingly an issue, although he repeatedly raised, but never so used on LP-length basis, as a thematic. Love. However, this is not expressed in shallow and pathetic, "I love you" texts, but is treated eloquent and honest in its many forms and stories. So "Rebel Without Reason" also a very personal album in which Prinz Pi often shines through his own emotional world. But social criticism and irony can be found on the disk.

makes the beginning of the 18 tracks "weather bomb" with the classic rap theme "I'm back and you're still wack", but a rather mediocre Track, as there are not really good punch lines. But even during the subsequent "The new iGood" quality indicator goes up strongly. In an entertaining manner and a good beat here is the existence of a student parodies rapper. Lines like "Yeah, I hang out at particle accelerators and melancholic, as if I were your producers' guarantee a grin. "You're" is then the first of many songs that revolve around love. Here then is a classic case, described the strong but also painful affection of a woman. Freud ("I'm in love like a boy with the belly and below / under your white dress waiting for thousands of miracles and suffering (" If the whiskey does not help me I am driving at night without lights / by the suburbs in search of what you're not / SMS I want you never sent "are as close together.

love, passion, and resulting pain will be discussed below and over again. Be it in the dissection of a failed relationship ( zeal & Addiction), the relationship with his daughter (Lullaby) or his many affairs (etc.). Even if it wants to ostensibly about other things, as the fate eg three in the armed forces serving men in "Three crosses for Germany," love and loss, this time embodied by the grieving mother or wife of the 3, present.

After the Berlin the listener through all these back reflections has done, can be found towards the end even some of the highlights of the plate. In "Queen of Kreuzberg," he raps about a love relationship again, but this time he is less and the relationship with her, but on them. And it is not a normal girl but a very own left-wing punk who on 1 May participate enthusiastically in riots. Ultimately, a, by the subject, very separate track, the mood. So does the following "boundary II", indeed, much more, so that even the biggest hit on "Rebel Without a cause" is. A good part of Pi, acceptable features (even gynecologist does not negatively) and a very catchy chorus, however, only partly the reason for the big Hitfaktor because the track is mainly driven by the great beat.

Where would we be in the musical basis of the album. The beats are as always most part of Biztram, who has managed to create a diverse and also very round sound, which acts by means of warm synths, drums and guitar sounds and subtly echoing production very pleasant, so it provides almost no loss. A song that last but still worth mentioning is "Laura". Here, the suicide of a former girlfriend is discussed. A tragic case, the prince has long stressed and Pi, however, has now been packaged into music. The fact that this is a true story is that the play makes it even more emotionally gripping to the listener, and so the best on the LP. Just great.

"Rebel Without Reason" is ultimately an album of feelings and comes across well. In addition, Prinz Pi sounds very mature and authentic. These features along with the very good beats make the album a very round Deutschrap for publication. It really feels as listeners never taken out of a mood, even though they move through the different tracks often. Even more of an average material on the disk does not interfere and fits into the bigger picture. The only failure is "dawn", with poor and inappropriate features Prinz Pi Raf Camora and Mudi. One must also note that no feature guest really delivers on average, that is the most mediocre, and therefore not ranreicht to the host of the album. Despite Its a really good rap album, which particularly impressive as a round whole and also by strong individual songs. If you like to hear some fresh hip-hop clichés, kitsch, and standard Wackness should necessarily a listen here.
